Biostimulants on Crops: Their Impact under Abiotic Stress Conditions

چکیده
Biostimulants are agronomic tools that have been gaining importance in the reduction of fertilizer applications. They can improve yield cropping systems or preventing crop losses under abiotic stresses. be composed organic and inorganic materials most components still unknown. The characterization molecular mechanism action biostimulants obtained using omics approach, which includes determination transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic changes treated plants. This review reports an overview biostimulants, taking stock on recent studies contributing to clarify their mechanisms. provide overall evaluation a crop’s response, connecting with physiological pathways activated performance without stress conditions. multiple responses plants must correlated phenotype changes. In this context, it is also crucial design adequate experimental plan statistical data analysis, order find robust correlations between biostimulant treatments performance.

Regulation of root water uptake under abiotic stress conditions.
A common effect of several abiotic stresses is to cause tissue dehydration. Such dehydration is caused by the imbalance between root water uptake and leaf transpiration. Under some specific stress conditions, regulation of root water uptake is more crucial to overcome stress injury than regulation of leaf transpiration. This review first describes present knowledge about how water is taken up b...
متن کاملRegulation of Banana Phytoene Synthase (MaPSY) Expression, Characterization and Their Modulation under Various Abiotic Stress Conditions
Phytoene synthase (PSY) is a key regulatory enzyme of carotenoid biosynthesis pathway in plants. The present study examines the role of PSY in carotenogenesis and stress management in banana. Germplasm screening of 10 Indian cultivars showed that Nendran (3011.94 μg/100 g dry weight) and Rasthali (105.35 μg/100 g dry weight) contained the highest and lowest amounts of β-carotene, respectively i...
متن کاملAfrican Orphan Crops under Abiotic Stresses: Challenges and Opportunities
A changing climate, a growing world population, and a reduction in arable land devoted to food production are all problems facing the world food security. The development of crops that can yield under uncertain and extreme climatic and soil growing conditions can play a key role in mitigating these problems. Major crops such as maize, rice, and wheat are responsible for a large proportion of gl...
متن کاملGenetic analysis of abiotic stress tolerance in crops.
Abiotic stress tolerance is complex, but as phenotyping technologies improve, components that contribute to abiotic stress tolerance can be quantified with increasing ease. In parallel with these phenomics advances, genetic approaches with more complex genomes are becoming increasingly tractable as genomic information in non-model crops increases and even whole crop genomes can be re-sequenced....
متن کاملCell wall remodeling under abiotic stress
Plants exposed to abiotic stress respond to unfavorable conditions on multiple levels. One challenge under drought stress is to reduce shoot growth while maintaining root growth, a process requiring differential cell wall synthesis and remodeling. Key players in this process are the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and peroxidases, which initially cross-link phenolic compounds and gly...
